Sophrosyne Dragons are a rare sight, typically making themselves known only to protect and heal the vulnerable. A visit from one serves as a reminder that kindness prevails, and that there’s always hope for positive change. While it is known that they possess the power to reverse botched spells, some claim they can even cure methodically-cast curses. This has never been formally documented, but these dragons have been seen arriving in the aftermath of violence, and the scars of tragedy seem to heal faster in their wake. The feathers of a Sophrosyne have thus become a symbol of perseverance and light in the face of darkness.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Dreamfade is a shy and timid dragon; often the slightest criticism would reduce her to tears. She knows that as a Soulpeace dragon, she is supposed to have at least a positive influence on the cave, but she is too meek to even talk to a dragon she doesn't know. Since she isn't the one to talk, she hardly knows any dragons at all and is rarely even seen. She is glad, though, that there are no traps located within the premises so she lives without much worry about that. Dreamfade loves the late spring, when all the flowers blossom and the air is rich with the scent of cherry trees and wildflowers. She spends a lot of time with Fallingmaple and studies the wondrous diversity of the plant world.
