Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

FloatsStorm is a quiet dragon that is little more than a ghost to the other dragons. She slips around the cave silently and no one really ever sees her. She does not like to be spotted and whenever she is discovered she slips into a cloud of mist so suddenly that the dragon wonder whether they even saw something at all. No one really knows why she looks at the other dragons but never says a word, perhaps she is unable to talk, or maybe she is just a ghost who has not left her home. Only one dragon ever sees her for more than a few moments and he believes that he imagines her as well. His name is CloudColor, he is like her. Alone and silent. Every morning she watches him get up, they stare at each other, unaware that love is what calls them together and glows in their eyes, and then she is gone.
