Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This lonely-looking female bears a tag numbered 0004 on a smooth leather collar around her neck. Near to where she rests stands a tiny human-made shack. It contains only a large card catalogue, each numbered card bearing the demographic information of its corresponding dragon.

This dragon's card has been repaired several times with yellowing cellophane tape. The information on the front of the card is neatly printed, but this card also seems to have a few brief notes written on the back in a rather untidy scrawl:

"Micajah (mih-KIE-uh), Mica—very gentle—other dragons do not like and actively ostracize her. Left stunted purple hatchling no. 0182 Everlea in her care—she has taught her to dig radishes and other vegetables from neighbors gardens."

Perhaps the angry neighbors are responsible for the torn card.
