Nebula Dragons are nocturnal creatures. With the best eyesight to be found, they are often seen staring into space. Each dragon tends to observe a particular nebula and will eventually change their colors and patterns to match it. As the nebula changes over time, the dragon changes with it. The more intricate the design of the nebula, the better chance an individual has of attracting a mate. It is said that the markings on no two Nebula Dragons will be exactly the same.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
She shook her regal wings, a fleck of silver catching the light in a mesmerizing way. Why on earth should she give him a time of day, Astera wonders. Never mind his mother. She was always in a snit; though deep down Astera felt a certain admiration for the noble Hellfire, she wasn't pleased with the idea of being stuck with her son.
Still, Seravesta had guessed at Astera's secret, a very damning one at that. Though the elder female had openly declared her support for Creorluna's cruel cause, her skillful words and tone told the tale. Seravesta would turn her in without batting an eyelash if Astera refused to cooperate.
Still, it was an odd thing, the idea that Seravesta wanted her to spy on her son, Zueko. Granted he was formidable and bore a high-strung temper, but it really took a day of faked interest and emotion for Astera to really catch on. Zueko was a closet goody-two-shoes. He was smart as his mother and as acrobatic as his father. He was an obstacle.
