Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Skyhatch is the fifth egg to be adopted in the community nest, as well as the fifth dragon to mature. Her egg was abandoned, and looking at her lineage it is a possibility that she was a failed attempt to produce a two-finned bluna using a deep sea dragon and a skywing. Her not being a two-finned bluna, however, the dragon master abandoned the egg for others to pick up. Skyhatch seems well aware of this fact, and seeks to have for herself to have a two-finned bluna as an offspring. Because of this, naturally, she finds herself attracted to Artora, the nest's only deep sea dragon. This annoys Artora slightly, himself not interested in mating and persisting in his duties. Still, the other dragons believe he is enjoying the company. Skyhatch is a fun-loving dragon who often plays in the skies with Elianderan, and she seems to view him as her adopted father. You can often see the two flying side by side around the sky, enjoying the breeze as it comes along.
