And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young drakes are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own.

Turtle Baby is a mischievious little thing, always up to no good in his search for the ultimate prank. Since he has such an honest face it makes it difficult for him to actually trick anyone, but because he's so sweet many of the older dragons play along and pretend to be fooled. Turtle Baby never notices this, and thinks he is very clever.
