Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Once, Moonthought was a romantic young dragon who dreamed of being loved, and being able to love another in return. As a member of the Weyr of the Moon, he was bound by the Law of the Moon, as his Weyrmates were, to only mate with one approved by Smoothstone himself, as Speaker for the Moon. Eager to find love, to be able to shower affection upon one who might accept it, Moonthought waited patiently for Gentlestone to receive a vision that his bloodline was fit for another's, and for his proposed mate's name to be delivered to him.

Centuries passed as he waited. He knew Gentlestone received visions from the Moon to declare mates; he despaired that the Moon chose no one for him. He grew older, and quieter, and love became a hard kernel in his heart.

Then, one day, a message: a mate, for him. A young female named Moonimage.

Their relationship has been slow to begin, strange, still very new. Oddly they conceived an egg, then a child, quickly. Moonthought is still learning, again, to love.
