Grave Dragons are not named for their connections to death or burial, but for the grave expression on their faces. This strange expression is used as a defense mechanism that causes fits of panic and terror in potential predators. Since they only eat ash and charcoal, they do not hunt. Grave Dragons are powerful fire-breathers and have been known to burn down forests and villages alike to make meals. It is believed that the markings on each Grave Dragon’s wings are the faces of those who have lost their lives in fires started by that dragon.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Kieri is the youngest and most cheerful of the brood of Grave dragons that she lives with. She often has some issues with the facial markings on her back and that their species' number one defense mechanism is to scare other dragons with their terribly grave features. When she was young she once scared a dragon until she realized it was only a harmless Mint dragon named Morphy. He suffered for days and she found herself going back to him to try and help his recovery. Since then she secretly scavenges any meat she can find for him for their ash feasts as a show of both friendship and guilt.

Along with Kobbin, she often spends her time scouting for safe places to destroy and feed, reporting back to Reykana frequently. She often waits until everyone else tucks into the meal before having her share. She looks to Holga like a mother and Reykana like a general with Frerain as an Emperor.
