Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It likes to perch on the high branches of the taller trees and look longingly up at the sky.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Blue Stepper being a canopy dragon, of course spends almost all her time in the trees. She was named Blue Stepper because of her blue feet, and was teased because of her name until she became friends with Lantana. Lantana is a pygmy dragon, and has been teased of her size, so they both defended each other. Lantana's wings are paralyzed, so Blue Stepper taught her to climb. No mater what, they will always be best friends.

Once, after she had really been teased (before she met Lantana) Blue Stepper tried commiting suicide by drowning in quick sand. She soon regretted it, and started screaming for help. Lantana came to her rescue, and this was the start of their friendship.
