Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Dredge, the first of the new herd of "Sarcor" dragons, escaped as a hatchling when she hadn't even grown her wings yet. Since her special element, is earth, she had learned to dig for her life before her mother either ate her or killed her.

She now lives with Razerfly, her companion through that horrible ordeal. Dredge usually hunts for edible plants and fertile soil to make her home in. Her migration pattern collides with Razerfly because of their friendship. Dredge has a somewhat unique personality. She is brazen enough to engage dragons bigger than herself but is not at all confident to leave her territory.

Dredge's territory is beyond the cave, in the forests about 6 miles from there. She migrates to a different nest every 5 years.
