Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The Golden Princess is the daughter of The Golden Infertile Queen and The Thunder King of Death. She is both proud and ashamed of her heritage. Proud because she is the first golden offspring of the queen. Ashamed because of her father, who was unfit to be a king and exiled because he was a thunder. She was a kind hatchling, thoughtful and always considering the happiness of the common people. She wished to not become like her cruel mother. But she was spoiled, badly, and could not make any real friends because of her position. Her self-worth grew with her age, and by the time she was an adult, she was shouting at her servants, just like her mother. But even through her new-found bitterness, she occasionally displays some of her initial kindness. For the commoners, they can only hope that this princess, who may be their future leader, returns to her old self.
