Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Seasons Greetings is a shy, good-natured dragon. The Mistletoe gets along well with most of the dragons at Lurhstaap's Breedery, but she has fewer offspring than she might otherwise because she is awkward about males. She has accepted the attentions of a few, however, including that of the golden male Eminence. Seasons is a little in awe of the golden male, seeing him in a romanticized light that hides his flaws. Her sister Deck the Halls thinks that Eminence likes Seasons for that very reason, but hasn't been mean enough to tell Seasons that. Fortunately, Eminence isn't the only male who is interested in Seasons, and one day she may form a more mutual bond with another.
