Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Antania, like her father, thinks quite highly of herself. The fact that she's both an Alt and her parent's first-born seems to have gone to her head, and it doesn't help that her father's so proud of her. She seems to have inherited the worst of both her parents, as she has her mother's explosive temper. These combined traits should make her an undesirable friend, but she also happens to be extremely loyal, and cares about others (though not quite as much as herself). She expects to be Cave leader after her mother, but it seems highly unlikely, considering the number of quarrels the two have.

Antania is another name for Hecate. Hecate was originally goddess of the wilderness and of childbirth, but she soon came to be associated with darkness and witchcraft.
