Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Nakeurei is a gray dragon donned by darkened scales with eyes that glow a murky yellow. He is the leader of his clan and he circles in the sky above his clan's cave, keeping his eye out. His hate for Silver dragons started when that light-tinted silver egg hatched and grew up to be Merissa. He had approved of her stay before as she was just an egg, but seeing her beauty made him envious. Another silver egg slipped into the cave without him knowing. The egg grew to be Macie, and Nakeurei did see her come out of the cave for a first look into the world. This made him so angry he descended from the skies to kill her for being in the cave without permission but Alexandrie stopped him and explained. He let her be. Later, Macie became close to Nakeurei. She felt for him that he couldn't be like her and told him he was 'majestic' either way. This melted the ice on his heart and they became mates.
