Serrati Wyverns are a fierce breed of dragon typically found in volcanic areas or in desert scrubland. With their keen vision, these fearsome predators can pick out well-camouflauged prey from the slightest movement. They are named for the double rows of serrated teeth that line their beaks, which allow these wyverns to maintain an unbreakable grip on prey while they tear into their target with deadly hooked claws. Though these dragons are combative with nearly everything, they are surprisingly well-mannered when raising their offspring in communal nests. Males, however, tend to be chased off as soon as eggs are laid.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Amjad was confined to a closed-off corner of the lava cave beneath Damian's oasis soon after he matured. Although not nearly as vicious as Fayza, the destructive Electric dragon, his violent tendencies outweigh his benevolent ones. The orange along his belly and the edges of his wings is vibrant, almost neon, as if acting as a warning for other dragons to stay well clear of this one. He has taken to tunneling as an outlet for his thirst, creating a network of caves throughout the lava cave and under the oasis. This allows for easier travel between the two domains, despite the danger of accidentally running into him.
