Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Lost in a storm, a young skywing tested her newly earned wings. Ignorant of the ways of the wind and wing, the young skywing soon lost control over her flight and crashed into the sea below. When she opened her eyes, the young skywing was amazed to find a young girl standing not too far away. She was approaching slowly, hands in front of her, a large fish hanging by the gills in her right hand. The skywing, hoping to scare her off, fluttered into the air only to crash back to earth as pain shot through her wing. Again the girl approached, fish in hand. Unable to do more, the young skywing, through an act of trust, took the fish from the young girl. Over time the trust grew stronger, just like the skywing's wing. The day that the skywing took to the sky again she went with a new name and a new friend. She now flies through the skies ever watchful for other dragons in need.
