Ochredrakes are a curious species with a wide array of mutations and interesting behaviors. Not as intelligent as normal dragons, they only breed with other drake species. While they may not be bright, ochredrakes are flamboyant and fun-loving with amazing, chirping voices to sing with, and tame readily in the presence of a gentle hand.
Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.
User Description
Lonesong is extraordinarily sweet and gentle. She has a special affinity for younger dragons and will take care of other eggs and hatchlings as if they were her own. She can often be seen protecting a little dragon who is being bullied by the others, or keeping watch over one who is sick or injured. Aside from her loving nature, Lonesong also has a beautiful talent for singing dragon lullabies, which can ease the mind of almost any living creature. Her favorite foods are pigeons and ferrets, with the occasional bucket of carrots and apples. She spends most of her time basking in the sun on a big boulder in the middle of the meadow where the little dragons like to play. The only thing that she really does not like is bath time, which she only needs once every few months. The only way to get her close enough to the water is to lead her there with a trail of apples and then tie her down when she's not looking.
