The egg faded away completely; in its place there’s a cute baby dragon. It doesn’t seem to have much substance, though.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

NobleShadowWalker is a Shadow Walker Dragon hatchling. He is far bolder than most of his brethren in the clan, because he really likes humans, especially human children. He phases in to this plane so that children can pet him. NobleShadowWalker dances around in circles in anticipation of getting pet by humans. He's also pretty bold with other hatchlings in his cave. He phases in so that they can play games like Tail Tag. He does phase out so that others can't tag him 'it'.
