Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Icicles keep forming on its body, but it doesn’t seem to be bothered by the cold.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Heim is very playful. It loves nothing more than to frolic in the snowbanks and ice-slopes, scattering flakes and creating its own miniature blizzards as it slips and slides down into crevasses lined with secret tunnels only known to itself. Its mother is usually away traveling, and its father spends much of his time alone, so Heim has learned to entertain itself. At times it'll play with other hatchlings, but visits are rare, so for the most part Heim is alone.
