Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

When Ribbon Dancers first appeared, it was believed that they were all of the same bright colors.  However, rumors began to swirl of two silvery Ribbon Dancer sisters.  Always together, they were only sighted during cloudless moonlit winter nights.

Wild speculation abounded as to what the sisters were.  Some said freaks of nature, some said goddesses, and some said they were heralds from the archangel herself.  Whatever the truth might be, neither dragon will divulge it.

Aluriel Silvermoon, named in the common tongue, is the bolder of the two sisters.  She calls all others of her kind to the annual Ribbon Dancer gatherings during the holidays, and leads the great dances that the breed is named for.  Aluriel is the only one of the sisters who will interact with humans.  She is quite fond of holly berries, and will occasionally nibble them off villagers' holiday decorations.  However, she will usually leave behind a rare blue ribbon if not shooed away.
