Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Elena Jolanda is a guardian dragon who is less devoted than others of her breed. Instead of spending her days stuck in a cave, she enjoys flying, exploring, and spending time with other dragons. Her vibrant charm seems to make even the most insular dragons become less fearful and more outgoing. Of course, she isn't just carefree; she takes a few days out of every week to visit hatchlings and their parents. Unlike a large majority of dragons, Elena has both male and female mates, though she is clearly not transsexual. Many humans and more conservative dragons would be disgusted if they knew about her odd couplings, but they are such strong friends with her that they suspect nothing.

Elena has a modest cave of her own, but is almost never found there. She subsists upon grass, meat (some of which she hunts on her own), leaves, and fruit.
