Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ungrateful Undead was raised for the sole purpose of Zombie experimentation. His best friend, Ungrateful Dead, was a pygmy and was also being used for experiments. They stuck together through their childhood, barely surviving the cold nights in the lab. When both of them had grown up, they were brought to a sacred altar on Halloween. Without warning, a mage lashed out with a sword and stuck down the pygmy, mortally wounding him. The rest of the mages swarmed on Ungrateful Undead, but the sunset dodged all of their blades and escaped with his bleeding friend in his arms. Before the pygmy took his last breath, he begged Ungrateful Undead to save his daughter, as he feared the mages would try and kill her too. After remorsefully burying his best friend, the sunset set out to his friend's cave to gather the child. Though he searched, he couldn't find her. To this day Ungrateful Undead wanders the world, trying to find the child of his late best friend to make good on his promise.
