Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The name might seem a trifle redundant. All magi dragons work magic, after all, so there's nothing special about that. Amber Witch, though, relies on crystals and other physical props, instead of just her own innate magic. Most magi dragons like to make magic look effortless, but she puts on a full show for those who come to her for help. She is, she insists, a good witch (in both senses of the word), but it's hard not to be at least slightly intimidated by the rows of pin-laden dragon figures that stare down from the high ledges that line her cave. The figures might be for show, but anyone who's accidentally offended Amber Witch generally spends the next few days acutely aware of every little ache or pain.
