Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Tortured Night is a quiet male Vampire dragon. None of the other dragons know quite what to make of him. Like most of the vampires, Night is a member of a gang run by Outlaw of the Darkness. As a member of this gang, he's forced to steal, murder and terrify other dragons. However, Night's heart isn't in the crimes that he's made to commit and in fact, his only wish is for peace.

Tortured Night dwells in a little cave at the bottom of a mountain that forms part of "The Dragon's Teeth" mountain. It's plainly furnished, with a bed of leaves and several piles of books in one corner. Night keeps several bats in his cave, and they know him so well that they often hang from his wings and tail. Naturally, Tortured Night has no eggs that he can truly call his own, but during his free nights he likes to watch the hatchlings from a distance. It makes him happy to see them.

Trapped in a world thirsty for war, Tortured Night is unsure of whether his vision of peace can ever be achieved.
