Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It is so full of energy that you have a hard time keeping up with it.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

You wouldn't Forget Me is a hatchling from the D'Hennegel lineage. When it was time to name her she had to choose: grow up and be a D'Hennegel dragon, or stay small and be a line of the Frozen-Whiptail-poetry-army. In the end she decided she wanted to stay small and play with the rest of the frozen whiptails forever. So now she is the 18th line of the poem "The Oliphaunt".

But, like an Oliphaunt, she never forgets. She never forgets that is is a D'Hennegel, and sometimes wonders what would have happened if she had chosen to grow up.
