Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Silver females eat meat only when a male dragon brings it to them as part of courtship, though they are typically highly-independent. They possess an almost magical aura that lights up any place they are in, and are looked upon with awe by humans and animals alike.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Catriona, another daughter of Aisling, seems to have amplified her mother's glowing beauty and kind heart.  She is grace incarnate, seeming to float rather than walk, and has a shimmering call that tugs the heartstrings of every dragon within hearing.  The big males flock to her, eager to be her champion and defender, but she quells their testosterone-fueled contests for her favor with gentle chiding.  Though some of the other female dragons, Gudinne in particular, are jealous of Catriona's uncommon beauty, most respect her for a wisdom beyond her years.  Catriona has yet to accept a male as her mate, but is frequently seen searching the skies for one of the male weather dragons, though she is most secretive as to which one she seeks.
