Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

A piercing cry split through the air, causing creatures large and small alike to cower in fear.  Zip and Zilch ceased their constant stream of complaints and Minority stopped short in her long-winded speech on parchment rights.  The dim-witted Durnon hummed to herself for a moment before falling silent.  The shrieking cry continued for a second, then decreased down to silence.  The forest sighed in relief.  Night Warbler had finished singing for the night and all was peaceful.

A cheerful dragon, Night Warbler wants only to fit in with his cave-mates.  Yet they flee in terror if he so much as opens his mouth.  Lonely and sad after such encounters, he creeps sadly into the forest, where he proceeds to shriek in a way that he believes to be melodic, but that is unbearable to the others.  It is this habit that causes Night Warbler to be avoided by the other dragons, although he cannot grasp this, and spends much of his time wondering why the other dragons ostracize him so.
