It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Of course the ONE stupid spell that went wrong had to be the baldness-fix charm, which resulted in nothing less than one bearded female purple dragon and a name she'd never live down. The magician (and one time freak show!) of the Cirque de Pourpre, a traveling circus composed mainly of purple dragons, this witch has lamented the cruel trick her sorcery played on her long after both beard and roaring laughter had gone. That's just an aspect of her personality, though; endlessly finding something to moan about (whether it be her co-stars, a bad date, or the fact that no one takes her carefully planned show tricks seriously because they all assume they were done using her potent real magic), she in fact seems happiest when she's complaining, a fact her friends tease her about endlessly. The open-faced pessimism, however, is only a small part of the purple's nature; a selfless being through and through, she spends much of her time caring for the orphans the circus draws in.
