Spitfires are a desert breed of dragon. Their dull brown bodies contrast with their brilliant turquoise markings, and they only blaze brighter when these dragons fight. Spitfires are notorious for their territorial natures, and the wing-edges of most are ripped and tattered before their first year is out. Spitfires are also noteworthy for their brilliant blue fire, which is used not for hunting or fighting, but rather for making glass caves from the sand, in which the dragons can soak up the sun.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Fiosrach is an inquisitive Spitfire dragon. His curiosity (and foolishness) seem to know no bounds. Whenever Fiosrach encounters something new, he immediately wants to discover more about it. He has ended up in more than a few skirmishes because of his relentless curiosity. It takes a dragon of great patience to handle Fiosrach. Unfortunately, dragons of such dispositions are unheard of in Fiosrach's home, a wasteland known as the "The Asti Desert". The desert's barrenness makes it a boring home for such a curious dragon, but there are no other areas in the Land of HeroHorse that are a suitable home for a Spitfire dragon.

Fiosrach is fairly territorial, although he gets into more fights over his inquisitiveness than over his small patch of barren land. His home is a glass cave which has been made, broken, melted and remade so many times that its original shape is impossible to discern. Despite all his past brawls, Fiosrach still seeks to satisfy his curiosity, regardless of the cost.
