Pink Dragons are primarily herbivores and only eat meat during the mating season, when mates will exchange kills. When it is not breeding season, pink dragons spend most of their time incubating eggs and caring for their clan’s young. Due to their feminine color, it was traditionally thought that pink dragons were a strictly female breed, but this is not true.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Rose Diamonds believes that all living things deserve an equal chance. No matter how destructive, no matter how ugly or terrible they seem to be, they all deserve to live, thrive, in the world. She's a kind dragon, overall—kinder than most members of her species, even though all Pink dragons are supposed to be kind and peaceful.

But instead of calling herself Rose Diamonds, she'll occasionally call herself Rose Quartz. Just Rose Quartz. Whether to bring her down to the ranks of the lowest dragons or to elevate her status as a symbol of humility, nobody knows. Diamond is certainly more valuable than quartz.

And yet, occasionally, quartz may shine brighter than diamonds.
