Script Dragons are named for the markings along their wings and sides that look almost like calligraphy. The patterns correspond to no known language, and are slightly different on every dragon. These dragons only develop the characteristic markings when they reach maturity, and they are fairly capable with magic once the patterns appear.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Halmoz Bookwyrm has been writing stories since she was a young hatchling. Though she feels the oldest are only fit for nesting material for pygmy dragons, she's published some of the newest under a pen name. Halmoz is best known for her yearly writing contest, where dragons strive to complete a book-length story in a month. There are no prizes except the satisfaction of completion, and yet her contests are surprisingly popular.
