Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Shaca is playful, persistent and helpful, with a head for numbers and mathematics. He loves playing adventure games and pretending to be the king of dragons, though he sometimes has to fight his best friend Chaizin for the honour. Though the two little dragons are best friends, they are often in disagreement about who is the best leader.

Shaca is stronger, faster and brighter than most of the other hatchlings, a fact that he flaunts in front of the other hatchlings. He loves being special, and his strength, intelligence and speed, along with his beautiful scales make him insufferably condescending sometimes.
