Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Although Haru can be a bit strange at times, he is needed in almost every war. Haru Stellaris is a mighty war dragon, and fights with much spirit. Haru lives in a cave next to a vast ocean that the dragons call "The Ocean of Oroborus". He met his mate, Retalinna there, but sometimes he has to go back to the wars and knows he might not come back alive. The other dragons call him "Mighty Sky Serpent", due to his elegant flying and speed during the war. When he is angry, he tangles around his enemies, strangling them, and finally delivers a killing bite. He hunts around dusk and finishes at dawn, then returns home so Retalinna does her shift. In this way, Retalinna or Haru defend their home while one is away hunting.
