Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Evening Shadow once traveled the land with the nomadic Crystal Tiger Stripe. However, when their travels brought them to the island of Shield Tail and Dark Drakon's dragon herd, Evening Shadow and his brother, Morning Glow, decided to remain behind for a short time, in order to hone their magical abilities by training under Solar Sunbeam's tutelage. Often times, Evening Shadow tends to grow moody living with such a large dragon herd, being true to his nature as a Sunset dragon. However, Evening Shadow dearly loves his brother, Morning Glow, and cannot be away from him for long. For this reason, Evening Shadow will remain on the island until their training with Solar Sunbeam is complete.
