Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Cerimonster, a Master Dragon Tamer of only several hundred years, managed to get herself a Holly baby. Actually this holly is one of two in her cave. That she managed to get herself two says just how prized these must be for her. Holly Kisses is the most prized dragon in Ceri's cave, along with Grouchy Holly. Both of these dragon's were groomed to be showcased, and she shows them off wherever and whenever she can with pride. Holly Kisses himself is very prideful, often seeing himself as the best in Ceri's cave. As a holiday dragon, he is much respected, even by the Grandmeister, Cerimonster's Gaurdian of Nature. He enjoys and is good at hunting, often taking down deer for entertainment or will hunt one of the stealthier dragons with their permission, hours of fun for all of them. As with all of Ceri's dragons, Holly Kisses has three names, the one he was born with, the one he was given, and the one he took on. Of the three he much loves Holly Kisses but also took on the name HK.
