Turpentine Dragons are named for the oil that covers their scales. This oil resembles turpentine in odor and is mildly toxic; it will not kill but it burns to the touch and will cause illness in anyone who ingests it. Turpentine Dragons roam in large packs, often stealing food from larger dragons, though they are able to hunt for themselves if necessary. Many other breeds consider Turpentine Dragons to be pests, so they primarily breed among themselves.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Two Ice Sculptures is named for what she guards: Two ice sculptures. Long ago, she was separated from her pack of Turpentine dragons while hunting in an Alpine region. She was still young, lost and confused. Two humans, a boy and a girl, had found her, and given her food as well as befriended her in the wintry forest. The meeting was interrupted by a cruel ice dragon that had also come to hunt. Sculptures tried hard to protect her new friends, but the Ice dragon was older, smarter, and stronger, his frigid breath easily freezing the two humans into solid ice. Sculptures only managed to bite the dragon's leg, but this was sufficient to make the dragon retreat to deal with the pest's turpentine. Saddened by the loss of her friends, Sculptures vowed to herself that she would protect the remaining ice sculptures from any more harm. Even if it wouldn't bring her friends back to her, it meant something to the dragon to stay with the two for as long as she lives.
