Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Chech-Cktela is the mate of Chac-Taloc, the first Storm Dragon of the cave--or, rather, the mountain of the clan's territory. Unlike her husband, Chech-Cktela is often found down around the main cave, flitting from one end of the field to the other. Only at the end of the day does she join Chac-Taloc in the cave near the top of the mountain.

Chech-Cktela does not often speak, but when she does, it is with a passion for what she is saying. She also does not often use her gift of bringing rain, but rather she uses the ability in the winter; keeping the harshest frosts away from the cave (and other areas in the clan's territory), but bringing a light snow for the hatchlings to play in. Unlike the weather she specialises in, Chech-Cktela is a warm sort, willing to help those who deserve it.
