Welcome to Dragon Cave! Dragon Cave is an online adoptables game. Collect eggs, raise them to adulthood, and then breed them to create interesting lineages. New dragons are added regularly!
Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s very festively colored.
And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.
Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.
On a snowy Christmas Eve, an egg was found by another of his kind, a Christmas dragon named Blitzbeak. Blitzbeak, though reluctant, decided to take the egg and care for it, until it hatched. The hatchling, whom Blitzbeak named Blitzmane (partly naming him after himself), was nothing like his self-absorbed "father"; he was quiet, kind, and very giving. He loved making others laugh, and he seemed drawn to the songs that humans would sing in the month of Christmas, and often hummed them himself.
