Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It breathes lots of dark smoke and keeps trying to bite you.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Smoke Bite loves biting anyone who passes by. Say his father was checking up on him, Smoke bite would run up and bite him. Say his mother was tidying up his nest, he'll go right on up to her and bite her. Maybe Scarletclaw was seeing how her dragon pack was doing, she'll end up with a bite mark on her wrist. This behavior was not the biggest concern for the dragon pack, but one day, little Smoke Bite ventured beyond the pack's territory and came across a knight by the name of TJ09. Unaware of TJ09's power, Smoke Bite jumped up, and bit his arm. TJ09 then cast a spell and made it so Smoke Bite could never grown as an adult. After that he never left the territory, but he still bit other dragons.
