Crimson Flare Pygmies are named after their small size and speed. They are fast and love to fly up and down in steep climbs and dives, giving the impression of a flare of color in the sky. These dragons travel in swarms during migration seasons and are very social. They live in tropical locations or wherever it is warm, and they are often seen near active volcanoes.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
Pygmy dragons are the smallest category of dragons, being on the same scale as domesticated animals. They are often found around concentrated populations of dragons, relying on their larger brethren to ward away potential predators and leave scraps. As such, the majority of a pygmy’s diet is scavenged. Due to their tiny size, pygmies do not breed with larger varieties of dragons.
User Description
Gleed is a pyromaniac. One could say this isn't an abnormal thing given that she is a dragon and dragons breathe fire. But Gleed takes this obsession to a whole new level. She sleeps in a bed of hot coals every night, heedless to the volatile temperatures. She communicates using fire signals more often than telepathy, a rather annoying trait to many of the others.
Besides this she's a pint-sized arsonist. She once lit an entire forest ablaze and proceeded to just sit there on his haunches and watch it burn, occasionally letting off a cruel cackle.
This incident resulted in her banishment from all the Northern clans, never to return on penalty of death. All save Creorluna, who appreciated her talent for causing chaos.
It's fortunate she's so small. The scope of her destruction is limited due to this alone. Still, this little fire lizard is a force to be contended with if the Northern Clans ever wish to free their home from the tyranny of Creorluna and their black-hearted leader Izdati.
