Shallow Water Dragons are found in tropical regions where the water is warm. They use their magic to hunt, using bubbles to capture small fish and animals. Their large, webbed feet make them excellent swimmers and they are able to move at very high speeds. Due to their bright color, these dragons are easily spotted in the lagoons where they live.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Kinri Jynx Lian is a shallow water dragon. She is quite playful and energetic, and comparable to a waterhorse dragon, though she doesn't ooze slime, and she walks better on land than them. Often found in various ponds around her clan's territory, one of her favorite activities is to lie half-buried in the sand near the bottom of the water, waiting for a dragon to come by. Then, she covers herself in strange-colored algae gunk and rises out of the water, scaring the dragons out of their wits. She's often well rewarded by a scream and then several swipes to her face as her victims try to defend themselves from what appears to be a creature from the deep. However, claws never seem to be able to hurt her, and she continues to scare dragons to this day. Another one of her favorite activities is using splash all the time, though she's disappointed it can only be used once a day. Personally, she wishes the PP of the move was 1000 instead of 1, even though she doesn't know what PP is.
