Avatars of Change are unpredictable, exuberant dragons whose unique connection to magic has saturated their entire bodies. It is said that possessing one of their iridescent scales can change one’s fate, and many have sought the favor of these dragons hoping to receive a scale as a gift.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Fondly going by the name of Avatar of Hopes, he is the very first Avatar of Change in the area. Like his name, this cheerful and optimistic dragon loves to spread a feeling of hope and the idea of working together for a brighter future. He is sometimes called air-headed or naive for his cheerful view of life, but these pessimistic comments never affect him and he continues trying to get people to focus on the good rather than the bad. However, this doesn't mean that Hopes doesn't realize and acknowledge the many problems in the world and the hard times everyone will inevitably go through. In fact, those who are hurting or in need tend to get a lot of his attention. Hopes is an all-around kind dragon who is very popular with not only other dragons but also many of the humans he's met while on his many travels.
