Mistlet Pygmies thrive in humid environments and are most content when frolicking in the rain or fog. The cheerful demeanor they exhibit provides a remarkable contrast to their shadowy appearance, bringing joy in otherwise gloomy environments. Mistlets are an especially beautiful sight in long summer evenings, as their streak of vibrant scales catch the fading sunlight. They spend a great deal of their time foraging for edible roots and insects, and sometimes enjoy treats in the form of small fish or frogs.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
Pygmy dragons are the smallest category of dragons, being on the same scale as domesticated animals. They are often found around concentrated populations of dragons, relying on their larger brethren to ward away potential predators and leave scraps. As such, the majority of a pygmy’s diet is scavenged. Due to their tiny size, pygmies do not breed with larger varieties of dragons.
User Description
Hychydig-Ddua-Adain (Little Black Wing) is a native of Wales and was found, abandoned near a cold swamp. She was brought into her owners home and hatched in front of the fire. Hychydig-Ddua-Adain was a spry and lively little creature from the moment she left her egg and would often hop around the house in a joyful manner. Since she began to gaze longingly out of the window her owner took her out for a walk where she exhibited signs of wanting to spend time with other Dark Myst Pygmies. Being outgoing, confident and friendly she soon settled in with a Pygmie group in which she is a valued friend and enjoys making up games like acorn bowling and toadstool hop-scotch. From time to time she still visits her owner but spends most of her time in the trees with her friends. Hychydig always sees the bright side of life and does not believe in having regrets so often cheers others up.
