White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Max Ride, or Maximum, as is her full name, is a very interesting character. As a hatchling, she was always rejected for being different than the others—her wings are mottled brown and cream rather than the usual ivory, and it was said to be unnatural. As an adult, she's headstrong, impetuous, and fiercely protective, taking other so-called misfits under her wing. She may be a White dragon, and though she does dutifully nurse any mental or physical wounds to health, she'll fight to the death to protect the ones she cares about.

She loves to fly, and when upset, is known to turn tail and launch herself into the distance.

She seems to have a love-hate relationship with the dashing and aloof Storm dragon known as Fang. He'd follow her to the end of the world, but sometimes it seems like she's the only one he isn't utterly closed off to. It's been rumored the two are falling in love without even realizing it.
