Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s rather plain looking, though.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Gilderoy is not actually male or female, as it was frozen before gender could be determined, but the name seemed to suit it. It likes to follow the other Bright Breasted Wyverns around, climbing up the trees rather lamely. Though it does not have wings, the other dragons are usually sporting enough to carry it around. It emits a low yelping sound while in flight, and its arms are outstretched, as though pretending to be flying by itself.
