Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Ever since it hatched, the sky has been full of very dark clouds.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing. It’s learned to use its new wings quickly and you now have a hard time keeping it on the ground.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

She has a strange story to tell, this little hatchling. She arrived at the cave one windswept night. Ti'rena Kyrl took the hatchling in out of pity. She was a strange little creature, afraid of her own shadow, and never speaking, except in her sleep. She lived with the clan for a whole year before they could get her to reveal her story. Ahsoka was abandoned young and was never adopted. Somehow, she found her way to the Shadowlands. During this time, the evil, insane Frehar was gathering an army to take revenge on his birth clan, the clan in which Ahsoka now resides. She would have suffered a painful death at the claws of Frehar's minions, if it wasn't for Yew, Frehar's magician. The magi dragon developed a fondness for the hatchling, and looked out for her. Unfortunately, Frehar murdered Yew right in front of Ahsoka, believing the magician to be plotting against him. The hatchling fled. Now she lives among the clan.
