Sunstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. Their social structure resembles a lion pride, with one dominant male and several females banded together with their young. They prefer arid climates where they can blend in and dig for minerals and gemstones that they not only collect, but eat. The more gems they consume, the larger their tail stone grows. They are an aggressive breed; it is not uncommon to see two males battling for mates and territory.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Solar Sky is a protective, fierce Sunstone dragon with a very large stone on the end of his tail from his habit of devouring piles of gems that he collects in a short amount of time. Much like the males of his breed, Solar Sky is aggressive and can be seen fighting with the other male dragons he shares a space with. Despite this, he is comfortable being around other dragons for he is built for social structure, much like other Sunstone dragons. Solar Sky's individual personality parts mostly stem off the behavior of his breed, such as his aggressive selfishness, which stems off of his aggressive nature. Solar Sky can be seen snatching food from other dragons he shares a cave with, either stashing it into a large pile, or devouring it right on the spot. If another dragon pokes around curiously at his large pool of gems, Solar Sky bares his teeth and whips his giant tail, his enormous tail stone spooking off most for the orb can do some serious damage with its weight.
