Ridgewing Dragons live just below the snow level on the upper slopes of mountains. They are a friendly, playful breed and enjoy dancing in wind currents near their homes or plummeting down into valleys from great heights. Their wings, by far their most striking feature, grow in fin-like ridges along their backs. While their bodies lack markings to blend better with their surroundings, a ridgewing’s wings have bright markings in the colors of the flowers that grow in their mountain habitat. Occasionally different-colored individuals can be found, but they are rare because their striking coloring offers little protection.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Garjo is one of the many sons of Kentaro and Kiyomi. His name has no meaning, but was given to him by Xinme, who had hatched out just hours before him. She had started wandering around, as young hatchlings with Striped-dragon blood in them often do. Her parents were following her closely, and they happened to come across Kentaro and Kiyomi's nest just as their latest egg was hatching. Surprisingly, Xinme stumbled right up to the nest, and peered in. The older dragons were very amused by this, and let her see the new baby come out. As soon as the little pink and white head popped out, Xinme took one look at him and shouted "GARJO!!". The adults found her enthusiasm adorable, as well as the new baby, and Kiyomi decided that should be his name "Garjo". Xinme crawled into the nest with her new friend, and they fell asleep together. Growing up they were inseparable, and they still are. Once they both matured, they became mates, they love each other, and always will.
