Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It blends into the snow.

And look! It has gotten bigger. It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

A sinister little beast indeed, this hatchling spends his nights relocating snowmen inch by inch, chuckling and rubbing his grubby little paws together all the while. The terrified screams of youngsters in the morning as they realize their creations have 'walked' (always in a threatening manner towards their homes, and with newly sinister facial expressions) never fail to send the monster into guffaws, rolling around in delight on the snow. What time isn't spent creating the Walking Snowdead, as he calls them, is used for making fake footprints of giant beasties and rude messages in the snow. He claims his inspiration comes from a human kid named Calvin and his pet tiger.
