Brute Dragons are among the larger dragon breeds. They prefer to live in solitude or small groups, nesting in high, mountainous regions. The only time they openly seek the company of others is during the mating season, when males will fight for the attention of females. The thunderous crash of Brute Dragons butting horns against each other in competition for mates can be heard nearly a mile away.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

An old and wizened female, Gwevren is at once both flattered and highly annoyed that males still attempt to court her. Her young are well known for being tough as nails, violent, stubborn beasts (in other words, ideal brute dragons), and so every year the men come courting, bashing heads outside her lair and roaring songs of love. All hush when at last the bawling wakes her, Gwevren emerging and looking down (she towers over the younger males), wiping a tear from her eye.

"You all care! You all care." She says, smiling--and then her jaws split wide in a ferocious howl, spines flaring, wings raising. "BUT I'M TRYING TO SLEEP HERE AND I'M TIRED OF RAISING BRATS SO I'M GOING TO HAVE TO KILL YOU ALL NOW."

The resulting chaos and screaming and running (occasionally right off the cliff side) does her old heart good, although she's often still left with a few amused veterans to contend with (and, worse still, often falls for one of the slimy old geezers after all the real fighting is done)!
